I’m the founder of Connect by Laura and a personal matchmaker for singles across Sydney and Melbourne.
I’ve always been fascinated by relationships and what makes two people genuinely compatible.
Over the years, I’ve studied relationships and couples therapy, which has given me a deeper understanding of how people connect, communicate and build healthy relationships.
Sometimes a relationship doesn’t need fixing.
Two people just aren’t aligned.
That realisation played a big part in why I created Connect by Laura. I wanted to help people find genuine compatibility from the beginning and make dating feel easier again.
Who You Choose Matters
I believe connection is one of the most valuable things we have in this life.
I believe who you choose to spend the rest of your life with is the most important decision you’ll ever make.
It’s why I don’t take matchmaking lightly.
I’m not interested in introducing two people simply because they’re both single and fit each other’s basic preferences.
I want to understand who you are, what matters to you, the kind of life you want to build and what you’re genuinely looking for in a partner.
Because attraction matters, but long-term compatibility goes much deeper than attraction.
A More Personal Way to Date
Of course preferences matter. You need to be attracted to the person you're dating. But long-term compatibility goes much deeper than attraction.
When I'm looking at a potential match, I consider the bigger picture. Your values, lifestyle, relationship goals, family plans, preferences, dealbreakers and whether I genuinely believe the two of you could align.
My job isn't to find you a perfect person. It's to introduce you to someone I genuinely believe is worth meeting.
Connect by Laura isn't an app, and there isn't a database of profiles for you to browse.
I personally review every application and do the matching myself. When I find someone I believe could be compatible, I send you a private preview. You both have the opportunity to decide whether you're interested before any formal introduction is made.
